Bandits Kill One, Flee into Safana Forest in Katsina

Suspected armed bandits has attacked Madaddaban Fegi Village in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday, killing a 30-year-old resident before fleeing into the nearby Safana Forest.

Intelligence sources told security analyst and counter insurgency expert in lakechat and west Africa Zagazola Makama that the assailants stormed the outskirts of the village around 1:00 pm and fatally shot one Sanusi Iliyasu.

Upon receiving the distress call, troops were mobilized to the scene.

However, the bandits had already retreated into the forest before security forces arrived.

The victim’s body was taken to the General Hospital in Batsari, where an autopsy was conducted before the remains were released to the family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
