The Kano state government has inspected the central Eid ground located at Kofar Mata in Kano metropolis as part of the preparation eid-el-fitr Sallah celebration in the state.
The state commissioner for environment and climate change Dr. Dahiru Hashim led to team of officials from the ministry for an assessment visit to the eid ground.
The commissioner represented by acting permanent secretary of the ministry Alhaji Abdulhamid Bala expressed satisfaction with the hygienic condition of the eid ground, assuring that the ministry would continue to monitor the hygienic state of the ground closely.

Meanwhile, the acting permanent secretary has visited seven (7) refuse collection centres located within Kano metropolis as part of its strategic operation in maintaining clean environment a head of the sallah celebration.
The centres are, Zage 1 and 2, Yakasai Yan Dabino, NA Park, Dirimin Iya, Dirimin Zungura and Old library refuse collection centre.
He hinted that all the centres will be cleared before Eid-el-fitr Prayers so as to allow the 16th emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II and his entourage free passage to the Kofar Mata eid ground.
