Kebbi Governor Dismisses Reports of State Having Highest Homosexuality, Lesbianism Rates

The Kebbi state government, has debunked an allegation that the state accounted for the highest in homosexuality and lesbianism with 15,979 people engaging in homosexuality and 18,567 lesbianism registered members across the country.

The State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, debunked the allegation while reacting to preaching at an Islamic gathering delivered by Dr. Nasir Kigo, Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Office, Birnin Kebbi.

The Governor, who frowned at the figures given by the permanent secretary, also said the statistics were baseless and lack supportive evidence to proof the numbers.

According to the Governor, after thorough investigation on the the statistic, government discovered that it was a false information and therefore calling on general public to disregard the information.

The Governor announced that, government would take a drastic action against the permanent secretary being the formulator of the said baseless figures.

The permanent secretary had during an Islamic gathering while delivering a lecture made the pronouncement that was posted on Facebook with the statistics of Kebbi state being the highest in homosexuality and lesbianism while sokoto be come second.
