Rainstorm Destroys Over 240 houses in Kebbi

Over two hundred and fourty houses were destroyed following Tuesday night heavy downpour that lasted for hours in Garin Kestu Atuwo Ward of Shanga Local Government Area of kebbi state.

Consoling the victims, Governor Nasir Idris advised the affected households to take it as an act of God Almighty.

Represented by the Chairman, Shanga Local Government, Alhaji Audu Dan Audu, said that the heavy rain, on Tuesday night destroyed houses and property worth millions of Naira and also expressed gratitude to God Almighty in view of the fact that no live was lost.

He appealed to them to be patient as very soon the state government would extend hands of support to them including building materials.
