Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu has officially signed the law banning Israelis from entering the country.
President Mohamed Muizzu, who was elected in 2023 signed the law amid pressure from staunch supporters of Israel in the country.
GLOBAL TRACKER learned that Maldives is one of the 19 united Nations member countries that don’t recognized Israel as independent state.

Other countries includes, Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Comoros, Djibouti, Indonesia, Kuwait and Libya.
Others are Malaysia, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tunisia and Yemen.
