Bagwai Local Government Constructs ₦160 Million Bridge Linking 7 Villages

In its efforts to farming system and promote agricultural growth, Bagwai Local Government area in Kano state has awarded contract for the construction of bridge at Kwajale ward linking seven (7) villages up to Rimingado local government area worth over 160million Naira.

Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Gadanya, the council Chairman disclosed this at the flag off of the construction of the bridge in Kwajale village.

He said the bridge would be completed within two-three months to ease transportation problem of the people in the area especially during the coming rainy season.

Gadanya explained that when the bridge is completed the state governor has assured the council for approval to commence for the construction of the 15kilometre dilapidated road linking seven villages from Kiyawa up to Rimingado local government area.

The Chairman called on the people in the area to reciprocate govt gesture by supporting the council and the State government effort toward promoting their socio-economic development.

The contractor handling the project, Alhaji Musa Ibrahim Badau, said as an indegen of the Local Government assured to execute the project in high standard and as stipulated in the contract agreement.

Also speaking, the councillor presenting the ward Rufai Isa commended the council for providing the people a sign of relief for constructing such a bridge which they have been agitating for over a decade.
