Jigawa NUJ Appoints Past Chairmen as Advisory Committee Members

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Jigawa State Council, has approved the appointment of six (6) past chairmen of the council as Advisory Committee Members.

Aisha Ahmed, the secretary of the council in a statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER said the appointment is with immediate effect.

According to the statement, the initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership, promote institutional continuity, and harness the wealth of experience of former Council leaders.

The Advisory Committee will provide strategic counsel, professional guidance, and mentorship to the newly elected executive officers and the wider NUJ membership in the state.

The inclusion of past Chairmen as elders of the Council in an advisory capacity, is a testament to our respect for their service and dedication as well as acknowledgment of the critical role they can continue to play in the advancement of journalism in Jigawa State.

The members of the Advisory Committee are as follows:

1. Comrade Sabo Abdullahi Guri
2. Comrade Mati Ali
3. Comrade Fahad Muhammed Mallam Madori
4. Comrade Ali Safiyanu
5. Comrade Sanusi Hussaini Madobi
6. Comrade Garba Muhammed Bulangu.

It said their collective experience will greatly benefit the Council in policy formulation and union development.

The NUJ Jigawa State Council, remains committed to professionalism, ethical journalism, and the unity and welfare of all members.
