The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil (ADUSTECH) says plan has reached advance stage for the convocation of over 21,000 students who graduated from the school in the past 10 years.
The convocation is for 18,000 undergraduate and 3,000 post graduates students.
The vice chancellor of the university Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai disclosed this while briefing journalist ahead of the 5th combined convocation held at the premises of the school located in Wudil town which is 35 kilometers away from Kano metropolis.
According to him, the convocation would kick-start on Wednesday, 7th May, 2025.
Meanwhile, the university would confer honorary Doctorate Degrees on some prominent Nigerians in recognition of their selfless services to the nation.
Prof. Yakasai revealed that notable Nigerians from different geo-political zones would be honored with Doctorate Degrees for their outstanding contributions to the nation namely, Alhaji Dahiru Mangal and Author Eze, Dr Adeniyi Raji SAN ,Alhaji Ado Mohammad Mustapha Amasco, and Senator Rabiu Musa kwankwaso.
Yakasai said noted that the university has carefully selected these individuals based on their character, track record and humanitarian services.
During the convocation, the Chancellor of the university, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, would be reappointed as the university’s Chancellor for the second time.
The Vice Chancellor announced that 21,000 students would be celebrated during the convocation ceremony, having graduated from the university in the last Seven years to date.
He also assured that adequate security arrangements had been made to ensure the safety of lives and properties throughout the convocation ceremony and beyond.
Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai further stated that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf would be the visitor of the university during the ceremony.
He expressed his appreciation to the state government for providing all the needed logistics to ensure smooth conduct of the ceremony.
