A global movement for the protection of human right, the Amnesty International has called on the executive governor of Kano Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf to immediately set up an independent judicial commission of enquiry to investigate the killing of at least 10 protesters, which the group described as “deliberate” in Kurna and Kofar Nassarawa in the metropolis.

In a statement issued by the director of the group, Isa Sanusi, he said that the committee must do its work without interference, and it is the duty of the government to give it everything it needs to carry out its responsibilities.

The group also said the Alleged killing must be investigated on how the Nigerian security forces dealt with the protests.
