Zulum Appoints Acting Chief of Staff, Assigns Portfolios to New Commissioners

The executive Governor of Borno state Professor Babagana Umara Zulum has approved the appointment of Babagana Mustapha Mallumbe as Acting Chief of Staff to the Governor.

A statement issued by the Borno State Government said until his latest appointment, served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor.

Governor Zulum also approved the posting and allocation of portfolios to the 10 newly sworn-in commissioners as part of efforts to strengthen governance and accelerate the implementation of the administration’s 25-Year Development Plan and 10-Year Strategic Transformation Initiatives.

According to the statement, the commissioners and their portfolios are as follows:

1. Hauwa Abubakar – Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

2. Bukar Mustapha Dalatu – Commissioner for Budget and Planning.

3. Lawan Abba Wakilbe – Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation.

4. Umar Lawan Dalorima – Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development.

5. Baba Mallam Gana – Commissioner for Health and Human Services.

6. Usman A. Tar – Commissioner for Information and Internal Security.

7. Sugun Mai Mele – Commissioner for Local Government and Emirate Affairs.

8. Aliyu Mohammed Lawan Buba – Commissioner for Transport and Energy.

9. Zuwaira Gambo – Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development.

10. Saina Buba – Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Poverty Alleviation

The government directed all commissioners to immediately assume duties in their respective ministries.
