The Community Support and Development Initiatives (CSADI) has donated more than 500 exercise books and a significant quantity of Bul-Bul Tom Brown to the Rimin Gado Students Association for onward distribution to students across the wards of Rimin Gado Local Government Area of Kano State.
The donation was announced when the Executive Director of CSADI, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed Suleiman, MFR, JP, received the President of the Rimin Gado Students Association, Abdurazak Ibrahim, and other leaders of the association during a visit to the organisation’s office.
The delegation visited CSADI as a thank-you visit following the organisation’s programme in support of girls’ education in Rimin Gado, while also seeking further assistance for students and the girl child across the local government area.

Speaking during the visit, Abdurazak Ibrahim commended Hajiya Zainab Ahmed Suleiman for the support CSADI had rendered to students and educational development in Rimin Gado.
He said the association was at CSADI to solicit continued support for students and girls’ education, stressing that sustained interventions were needed to address some of the challenges confronting education in communities across the local government.
Ibrahim identified what he described as a nonchalant attitude among some parents towards education as one of the major challenges affecting educational development in the area.
According to him, inadequate parental commitment to education contributes to children remaining out of school, exposing them to negative influences and making them vulnerable to social problems.
He also expressed concern that some out-of-school children and youths could become involved in drug abuse and the theft or destruction of public property, stressing the need for collective action to ensure that children remain in school and receive proper guidance.
The students’ leader commended CSADI for its intervention and urged the organisation and other stakeholders to continue supporting educational initiatives, particularly those aimed at improving access to education for girls and vulnerable children.
Responding, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed Suleiman expressed appreciation for the visit by the students’ association, describing engagements of the kind as important in understanding the challenges confronting students and communities.
She subsequently donated over 500 exercise books to the association for onward distribution to students across all wards of Rimin Gado Local Government Area.
The CSADI Executive Director also donated a significant quantity of Bul-Bul Tom Brown, a nutritious food supplement, for distribution to students and children, particularly to support efforts to address malnutrition among vulnerable children across the local government area.
The intervention reflects CSADI’s approach of combining education support with nutrition assistance, particularly for children and young people who face barriers to learning and adequate nutrition.
The organisation’s support for girls’ education in Rimin Gado also highlights the importance of community participation in improving educational opportunities for the girl child, while the donation of learning materials is expected to ease some of the basic challenges faced by students.
The engagement further strengthened the relationship between CSADI and the Rimin Gado Students Association, with both sides highlighting the need for continued collaboration among community organisations, parents, educational stakeholders and development organisations to improve the welfare and educational prospects of children in the area.
The initiative underscores the need for sustained investment in education, nutrition and youth development as part of broader efforts to keep children in school, reduce vulnerability to negative social behaviours and prepare young people to make meaningful contributions to their communities and society.
