The Vice Chairman of the Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Mustapha Gambo Muhammad, has announced the death of his mother, Hajiya Haraja Muhammad, popularly known as Yani.
Mustapha Gambo confirmed the sad development in a post on his verified social media handle on Friday, October 9, 2026.
According to him, the funeral prayer for the deceased will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Rimin Kebe, near Galula Hospital, in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The death of Hajiya Haraja Muhammad is a painful loss to the bereaved family, relatives and loved ones.
Her passing has also drawn attention to the grief of the NUJ vice chairman, who is mourning the loss of his mother.
