African Vaccination Week: Mari-Care Foundation Visits Stakeholders, Calls for Prompt Response to Vaccine Stigma

The Mari-care foundation for Widows, single parents, Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Nigeria has called for a prompted response against vaccination stigma and other issues causing the menance.

The foundation’s program officer Muhammad Musa Manga disclosed this while briefing journalist shortly after organizing stakeholders dialogue on the importance of vaccination as part of the commemoration of african Vaccine Week 2025 held in Kano.

According to Manga, the dialogue is aimed at bringing community together for stakeholders to discuss immunization, vaccination and possible way out of any problem bedeviling it.

“The theme of the years week is ‘Humanly Possible’ and we go into the communities so that the community stakeholders will discuss Immunization, vaccination, acceptability of vaccines and defaultion, and to discuss ways to avert those challenges and defaultion as well,” Manga said.

He urged the participants to make a step-down discussion and training to the other members of the communities so as to have healthy society.

In a remark, the district head of Tarauni represented by his secretary Jamil Nasir commended the participants for their commitment in safeguarding public health.

He said the office of district head will continue to work closely with all relevant stakeholders in ensuring total compliance and issuance of any vaccine in the area.
