Coaches, officials, and backroom staff of Barau Football Club have raised concerns over the alleged arbitrary deduction of their October and November salaries by the club’s management.
The affected workers expressed anger and frustration after discovering their salary cuts, which they say were implemented without any explanation from the Club President, Shawwal Barau Jibrin, or the General Manager, Dominic Lorfa, who was accused of ordering the deductions.
Since his appointment as General Manager, Dominic Lorfa has reportedly faced criticism from players, coaches, and other staff members.

An insiders told GLOBAL TRACKER that Dominic Lorfa’s leadership has been marked by tension, intimidation, and constant threats, including allegations that he frequently says “If i like i will sack anybody.”
A reliable source within the club, who requested anonymity, confirmed to GLOBAL TRACKER that the salary deductions were carried out at the instruction of Lorfa.
Staff members questioned why their pay was reduced despite fulfilling their duties daily, noting that some still have outstanding unpaid entitlements.
One staff member said that over₦100,000 was deducted from his October salary without any explanation.
He explained that he initially assumed it was a mistake. However, his November salary reflected the same ₦100,000 deduction, the development which convinced him it was deliberate.
“I doubted it at first when I saw ₦100,000 missing from my October salary. I thought it might be an error. But when the November salary came with the same deduction, and still no explanation, I knew something was wrong,” he said.
Another source disclosed
that one of Dominic Lorfa’s close associates within the coaching crew did not have any amount deducted, raising further questions about fairness and transparency in the process.
GLOBAL TRACKER’s efforts to reach the club’s management for clarification were unsuccessful, as calls and messages were not returned.
