BUA Chairman Pledges $500,000, Other Bonuses to Super Eagles for AFCON Semi-Final Win

The Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has pledged $500,000 to the Super Eagles if they win the semi-final, with an additional $50,000 for every goal scored.

He also promised $1 million if they win the final, plus $100,000 for each goal scored.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Rabiu made the pledge on Saturday via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, praising the team for their performance and the pride they brought to the nation.

“Congratulations to our Super Eagles on a brilliant victory. You lifted the nation’s spirit and showed the true Nigerian fighting spirit,” Rabiu wrote.

According to him, the team will receive a reward of $500,000 if they win their semi-final match, with an additional $50,000 for each goal scored. He added that victory in the final would attract a $1 million reward, plus $100,000 for every goal scored in the championship match.

Rabiu commended the players for their discipline, courage and unity, noting that their success has made Nigerians proud at home and in the diaspora.

“Our players have shown discipline, courage and unity. Nigerians are proud of you, and we stand firmly behind the team,” he said.

He urged the Super Eagles to remain focused, stressing that their achievements continue to inspire millions of Nigerians worldwide.

“Go out there, play with heart and confidence. You carry the hopes of over 200 million Nigerians,” Rabiu added.

Nigeria secured a place in the semi-finals after defeating Algeria 2-0 on Saturday at the Stade de Marrakech. The Super Eagles will face host nation Morocco in the semi-final on Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. (NAN)
