The Northern Youths APC New Era has urged the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the executive governor of Kano state Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf to defect to the APC for the best interest of Kano people and Nigeria by extension.
Abdullahi Usman and Muhammad Rabiu Mustapha, the national chairman of the group and his secretary respectively disclosed this at a press conference in Kano on Wednesday.
According to them, senator Kwankwaso and governor Abba Kabir Yusuf remained people of great importance, noting that if the two joined the party it would help in bringing remarkable development to Kano state and Nigeria by extension.

“Senator Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso held many different prominent and remarkable positions in the country and used these positions in helping people and bringing the remarkable achievements to his native state – Kano state while he was a governor and he also helped in bringing development to the country in general. The positions that this prominent leader held include governorship, senatorship, membership of the national house of representative, mediatorship among others,” said Abdullahi Usman.
“ The second prominent and philosophical north leader was His Excellency the executive governor of Kano state engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf who is another pillar support to the north because he brought great development to the Kano state which history will not forget, he is the governor that gave employments for over 25,000 people in Kano state from his assumption to the office, building different fly over bridges, clearance of huge amount of outstanding pension and gratuities, clearance of huge amount of outstanding primary school teachers promotions, giving immense care to education and health sectors, giving different empowerments to people and many more, which time will not permit to exhaust his efforts,” he further said.
“Therefore for the above statements we appeal to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and His Excellency the executive governor of Kano state Abba to decamp to APC to join hand with this present administration for the success in the second term as well as the success of the nation and people in general,” he added.
Usman assured that the present administration would continue to execute developmental project for the best interest of the country.
