The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Jigawa State Council led by comrade Isma’il Ibrahim Dutse extends its congratulations to the government and good people of Jigawa State on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the state’s creation from the old Kano State.
The council acknowledges and appreciates the immense contributions of past military and civilian administrations toward the socio-economic development of the state over the past three decades.
In a statement signed by the Acting Secretary of the Council, Comrade Aminu Umar Shuwajo, the NUJ commended the present administration led Governor Malam Umar Namadi for the impactful policies and programmes initiated to improve the welfare and livelihoods of the people of Jigawa State.
The Union also applauded Governor Namadi’s dedication and sacrifices in advancing key sectors such as agriculture, health, education, youth empowerment, and for maintaining the peaceful status of the State one of the most stable among the 36 states of Nigeria.
Therefore, the council prays for continued peace, prosperity, and greater development for Jigawa State in the years ahead.
