‎Kano Head of Service Presents Appointment Letter to New Solicitor General

The Kano state head of Civil Service Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, has presented an appointment letter to Barrister Salisu Muhammad Tahir as the new Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary ministry of justice.

This followed the approval of his appointment by Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf to that position, on Sunday.

Aliyu Yusuf, the director public relations and enlightenment disclosed this in a statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano on Monday.

According the statement presenting the letter, the Head of Service call on him to consider the appointment as a will of Allah and therefore should perform his duties diligently.

He further urged him to carry all along to make the ministry a better place in spearheading the dispensation of justice not only for the government but also to the entire people in the state.

According to him, the ministry have cream of learned legal luminaries, but God selected him to serve for that position, hence the need for him to respect all and work together in harmony for the interest of progress.

He also call on the directors and other staff of the ministry to support the new Solicitor-General so that together they support the system for the better, appealing to them to carefully point out the areas they needed government intervention especially on the issue of welfare so that the government will do all it could to address them.

In his response, the new Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Barrister Salisu Muhammad Tahir, expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah and Governor Yusuf for finding him worthy of the appointment.

While thanking the Head of Service for playing a farthely role in admonishing him and other directors of the ministry on how best they can collaborate and achieve the common goal of promoting the ministry to a greater height, he promised to operate an open door policy so that all can can contribute for the desired success.

‎Until his appointment, Barrister Tahir was the Director of Public Prosecution in ministry and with a track record of achievements.

It could be recalled that the then Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary has been re-deployed to the Ministry of Environment and Climate change.
