The Kano State Housing Corporation is set to lead a massive sanitation initiative at Kwankwasiyya City today in an efforts to ensure greener and healthy environment.
The Acting Managing Director of the Corporation Engr. Isyaku Umar Kwa leads this effort which is aimed at enhancing aesthetic appeal of the city, aligning with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf administration’s vision for sustainable urban development.
Engr. Kwa pointed out that this will certainly enhance sanitation services to maintain a clean environment, restore and beautify public spaces to promote community pride and encourage residents participation in maintaining city cleanliness, he emphasize.

He dwelt on Yusuf’s administration in prioritizing urban renewal and infrastructure development in Kwankwasiyya City, Bandirawo and Amana city respectively, addressing challenges such as urban Sustainability, Fostering economic growth, social development, and environmental sustainability among others.
He further explained that Kano state housing corporation remained committed to supporting the state government’s initiatives, ensuring the success of projects like Kwankwasiyya City. This sanitation initiative exercise demonstrates our dedication to Sustainable Urban Development Community Engagement Environmental Protection.
In a statement by director public relations and enlightenment of the corporation Ismail Garba Gwammaja said “We must take responsibility for our environment. Cleanliness is not just a one-day event; it must become a way of life. Today’s exercise is a powerful reminder that together we can keep our communities clean and safe.”
He stressed some of the community benefits drive from the sanitation exercise which includes, Improved Public Health reducing the risk of sanitation-related diseases, enhanced Quality of Life, Creating a cleaner and more beautiful environment for all.
He also enjoined all residents of Kwankwasiyya City, Bandirawo and Amana city must join hands in this noble initiative.
