The Kano commissioner for Tourism and culture, Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji Rano has paid a familiarization visit to the Karaye emirate council as part of ongoing efforts to revive the tourism and cultural sector in the state.
Rabi’u Umar Isah, the public relations officer of the ministry disclosed this in a statement sent to journalist in Kano Monday.
According to the statement, the visit is in line with the vision of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, who has prioritized community engagement and cultural development as pillars of his administration since assuming office.

During the visit, the Commissioner expressed her appreciation to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Mohd mahrazu, for the warm reception. She also highlighted key achievements recorded by the Ministry over the past two years under the dynamic leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Saji Rano underscored the importance of partnering with traditional institutions to enhance tourism and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Kano State. She appealed for the continued support of the Emirate in the Ministry’s drive to develop tourism and cultural initiatives across the state.
In his response, the Emir of Karaye, His Royal Highness Alhaji mohd mahrazu, commended the Honourable Commissioner and her team for the visit and assured the Emirate’s full support in fostering tourism growth and cultural preservation in Kano State.
The Commissioner was accompanied on the visit by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, the Deputy Managing Director of the Kano State Tourism Board, and several Directors from the Ministry.
