KANSIEC Hails Appointment of Faruk as Provost of CASCEPS

The appointment of Dr. Mahammad Auwal Farouk as Acting Provost of the College of Education and Preliminary Studies (CASCEPS), has been described as the right choice at the right time by the Kano State Government.

Executive Chairman of Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), Prof. Sani Lawan Malumfashi, made this assertion during a courtesy visit by the Acting Provost to his office.

In a statement signed by direct public relations and englightments of the KANSEIC Bashir Habib Yahaya quoted professor Malumfashi as stating that Dr. Auwal’s over 30 years of experience as a lecturer in the college provides him with vast knowledge on how to face challenges and elevate the institution to a high standard.

He advised the new Acting Provost of CASCEPS to carry everyone along based on competence, without consideration of differences, with the sole aim of bringing development to a high level in the college.

Professor Malumfashi emphasized that the IJMB program should be given more emphasis, especially with the introduction of CBT into WAEC and NECO examinations for senior secondary school students.

Earlier, the Acting Provost of CASCEPS, Dr. Mahammad Auwal Farouk, revealed that they visited Prof’s office to register their appreciation for his support and guidance.

He stated that it was as results of support and cooperation from KANSIEC’s boss made his appointment as Acting Provost of CASCEPS a reality, which necessitated the visit to express gratitude.

Dr. Auwal added that, as a former Provost of the college, Malumfashi has valuable past experiences that they need to tap into.

He maintained that they also aim to uncover the secrets behind the legacies left in the school during his tenure to achieve similar successes within a short period.
