The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has described the death of Ex-President Muhammadu Buhari as a great loss not only to Nigeria but to the entire African continent.
In a condolence message, the Governor described the former president as a patriot, whose interest was hinged on how to move Nigeria forward.
“Buhari was an icon in Nigerian politics, who managed to clinch the exalted seat of the president through the support and genuine mandate of the majority of Nigerians.

He said, late President Buhari will always be remembered for his truthfulness and standing by what he believes without shifting ground.
“Buhari was a father, a brother, a mentor and a role model to many in politics and other spheres of life.
The Governor, prayed for Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, grant his gentle soul Jannatul Firdaus and give his family, relations, Katsina State Government and Nigerians the fortitude to bear the irrepressible loss.
Meanwhile, the Former Commissioner Kano State Ministries of Health and Environment, and currently a member of the Governing Council of Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Katsina State Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Getso has paid a heartfelt tribute to former President General Muhammad Buhari, who passed away yesterday.
In a condolence message, Dr. Getso described the demise of Gen. Buhari as a monumental loss that will be felt across the nation. “As a nation, we have lost a leader who dedicated his life to public service,” he said.
In a statement by his media aide Aliyu Abdul Garo, the former commissioner noted that General Buhari’s leadership and commitment to Nigeria’s progress will forever be remembered, particularly in the areas of democracy and stability. “His contributions to the nation’s development have left an indelible mark on our history,” he added.
The former commissioner prayed that Allah grants the deceased Jannatul Firdaus, the highest place in paradise, and that his legacy continues to guide and inspire Nigerians.
Dr. Getso also extended his deepest sympathies to the family, government, and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians, praying that Allah comforts them during this moment of grief.
“May Allah bless the family, the government, and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians during this moment of grief,” he said.
