Kebbi Govt. Targets 65,000 Youth for Second Phase of Kaura Cares

The Kebbi State Government, says it’s targeting 65,000 youth for the second phase of Kaura Cares empowerment programme in the state.

The Governor, who disclosed this during an interactive session with the youth in the presence of the Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, said Kaura Cares was an empowerment programme that seeks to empower both women and youth to become self reliant.

He stated that, the state government is to establish skills acquisition centres to provide youth with skills based knowledge to be gainfully self employed.

Governor Idris noted that, government is opening information and communication technology (ICT) centres and urged the legislators to establish more ICT centres in their respective constituencies to further boost the morale of the youth.

Also the Minister of Youth Development, Mr Ayodele Olawande said, President Bola Tinubu believes in youth and has given and will continue to accord the necessary opportunity to develop their talent for societal development.

According to him, the President had initiated programmes for youth development to develop young talents in the task of nation building and therefore urged the youth to continue to be law abiding and supportive to the government.

The Minister appreciated and commended Kebbi state governor for his youth empowerment initiative.
