Online chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ, Kano state council has called on Kano state government to support farmers with implements and seeds ahead of rainy season.
The council disclosed this in a communique at the end of its maiden congress which was signed by Abubakar Abdulqadir Dangambo and Isiyaku Ahmed, chairman and secretary respectively which was sent to journalist at the weekend.
The communique also called on the state government to consider rehabilitating community and rural roads ahead of the rainy season.

“The Kano Online Chapel held its Congress with representatives of the various media platforms.
“The Chairman of the Chapel, Comrade Abubakar A. Dangambo, welcomed and appreciated their efforts toward the formation of the chapel.
“He said the meeting was to discuss issues around formation and registration for new members.
“The Chairman urged members to hold on to ethical considerations in their reportage and the disseminating public interest stories.
“The Congress read two reports, the Secretariat and the Financial reports, which were adopted by the Congress.
Issues affecting the Chapel, registration of new members, and running of the secretariat were also discussed.
Meanwhile the congress has resolved that:
1. The Congress approved N25,000 as a registration fee for new members
2. Members are encouraged to access the NUJ constitution to know their obligations, rights, and privileges.
3. The Congress called on the state government to consider rehabilitating community and rural roads ahead of the rainy season.
4. The Congress also appealed to the state government to support farmers with inputs ahead of the rainy season for a bumper harvest.
