Since assuming office, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has distinguished himself as a leader with vision, courage, and compassion.

Guided by the Kwankwasiyya philosophy of selfless service, transparency, and inclusiveness, he has set Kano State on a path of renewal and prosperity. His approach is people-oriented, rooted in the belief that government must touch the lives of ordinary citizens directly.

Transforming Education
One of the governor’s most remarkable interventions is in education. Declaring a state of emergency in the sector, he has begun rehabilitating dilapidated schools, equipping classrooms, and employing qualified teachers.

This bold action is restoring dignity to public schools, ensuring that every child in Kano, regardless of background, has access to quality learning. For us in Kwankwasiyya, education is the foundation of empowerment, and Governor Yusuf’s strides are securing the future of our children.

Healthcare for All
The administration’s efforts in healthcare are equally commendable. By rehabilitating hospitals and primary healthcare centers and equipping them with modern facilities, the governor has reaffirmed that the health of the people is a priority. Ordinary citizens now have renewed access to affordable and quality medical services—an achievement that will save countless lives and reduce the burden of preventable diseases.

Support for Trade and Business
As a leader and trader in Dawanau Market—the largest grains hub in West Africa—I can testify to the positive changes Governor Yusuf is bringing to commerce.

His policies to promote trade facilitation, expand infrastructure, and empower small and medium-scale enterprises are already improving the fortunes of both farmers and marketers. By creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs and traders, the governor is addressing unemployment and boosting economic prosperity.

Building People, Not Just Structures
Beyond physical infrastructure, Governor Yusuf is investing in people. His empowerment of women, vocational training for youth, and commitment to tackling social vices show a holistic vision of governance. He understands that development is not just about building roads or bridges but about building human capacity and giving people dignity.

Restoring Public Confidence
Perhaps the most profound achievement so far is the restoration of trust in government. For years, citizens felt disconnected from governance. Today, Governor Yusuf consults, listens, and acts on the concerns of the people. This engagement has rekindled confidence in leadership and brought back the belief that government can truly serve the people.

The Kwankwasiyya Spirit at Work
All of these achievements reflect the enduring spirit of Kwankwasiyya, a movement built on sacrifice, discipline, and service to humanity. Kwankwasiyya is not about privilege but about using power to uplift the poor and give hope to the hopeless. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf stands today as a true embodiment of this philosophy, leading by example and inspiring the next generation of leaders.

On behalf of Kwankwasiyya supporters and the Dawanau Market community, I proudly reaffirm our unshakable support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. We urge him to remain steadfast, sustain the momentum, and continue his people-centered agenda. With unity, prayers, and collective effort, Kano State will achieve greatness and become a model of progressive governance in Nigeria.
