The new president of the Kano state Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture KACCIMA ambassador Usman Hassan Darma says his administration will focused on reforming all sectors in Kano business community as part of strategy in boosting the economy and generates employment opportunities.
Hassan Darma disclosed this shortly after he was elected as president of KACCIMA during the chamber’s annual general meeting held in Kano on Sunday.
He said the chamber consists commerce, Industry, Mines, Agriculture, cooperatives and publicity and his presidency would ensure every sector is reformed and strategy will foot in place to ensure access to supports, Money, loans and many governments intervention so as to boots the economy of Kano state.

“We will ensure every has access the finance and intermediating any conflicts especially with any government agency, parastatal or whatsoever,” said the new president.
“I am thanking Allah S.W.A for this golden opportunity to be elected as president, i am also thanking members of this chamber who has confident in us to be given opportunity to lead this movement, though among my colleagues there are competent once in every sector, but they decided to elects us, and i am telling you insha-Allah we will move the state forward,” said Darma.
Asked about the conflicts of interest and rivalry between members of the chamber for five years, the new president said “At this election, we have brought on all the conflicting parties, we have coopted them together and now we are one family, and Insha-Allah there will be no any dispute again in this chamber.”
Those elected during the meeting includes Ambassador Usman Hassan Darma as president, Abdulaziz Sabitu Mohammad as 1st Deputy President, Umar Ismail Haruna as 2nd Deputy President, Vice President Mines, Kabir Mohammed Adamu as Vice President Industry and Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi as Vice President Publicity.
Others are Binta Muhammad Jibrin as Vice President Corporate, Aliyu Mustapha Mohammed as Vice President Property, Nura Habibu as Vice President Commerce, Umar Ladiyo Ibrahim as Treasurer, Yusuf Aliyu Umar as Vice President Agriculture and Aisha Sulaiman Baffa as Deputy Treasurer.
Meanwhile, the executive will be sworn-in next week.
Earlier, in his well come address, the outgoing president prayed for late busses mogul Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata who until his death remained strategic pillar to the development of KACCIMA.
“During the last two years, we have implemented significant reforms within the Secretariat, including the automation of financial and membership records. We have improved staff welfare and introduced new revenue generation avenues. We have also established strong corporate governance measures to ensure transparency, accountability, and disclosure,” said Garba Imam, the outgoing president.
“Our efforts have created a robust platform for a modern KACCIMA, and I hope that future Councils will embrace a culture of continuity to maintain and enhance these initiatives.
“As we look to the future, i urge the incoming Council to focus on several key areas: Reviewing existing memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to inform future actions.
“Fostering greater synergy with government entities. to collaboratively develop the Kano economy.
“Strengthening the procurement system to enhance transparency and accountability through codification.
“Enhancing engagement with stakeholders at all levels, including affiliate chambers regionally, nationally, and internationally, to benefit our business community and the state.
