Punch Newspapers’ Kano Correspondent Dies

One of the correspondent of the Punch newspapers in Kano state Ted Odogwu is dead.

Mr. Odogwu and a dedicated correspondent of the Punch newspapers died today at 7th April, 2025 in Lagos.

Before his death, the decades long correspondent spent months battling injuries sustained as a result of gas cylinder explosion in his home.

Meanwhile, the Kano state correspondent chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) has expressed the sadness over the death of its member.

The association in a statement by its chairman Alhaji Aminu Garko described Ted respected and valued member of our Chapel, known for his exceptional journalistic skills and unwavering commitment to the pursuit of truth.

His contributions to our union will be deeply missed.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our brother and colleague, Mr. Ted Odogwu. May his legacy live on, and may his family find solace in the memories of his remarkable life and career.

May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
