The society of Nigerian broadcasters is set to host its 2nd annual national conference scheduled to hold on 20th and 21st, 2025 in Kano state.
Alhaji Ado Sa’idu Warawa and Dr. Garba Ubale Danbatta, the Kano state chairman and secretary respectively disclosed this in a statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER.
According to the statement, the development comes as the president of the group professor Umaru Pate and the director general media and publicity Kano state government house Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa making efforts to secure the approval from the Kano state government in hosting the event.

The statement reads “the Local Organizing Committee for 2nd Annual Conference of the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters has been inaugurated today to kickstart preparations for the epoch making events scheduled for November 20th to 21st, 2025.
This Followed the effort of our indefatigable president, Prof. Umaru A. Pate and the Director Media of Kano state Governor Alh. Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa in securing the approval of the Kano state Government to host the 2nd induction/conference of the Society in Kano.
During the inauguration of the Committee through a message sent by the President who is currently far a way in Norway attending a conference has charged the members of the committee to work tirelessly in ensuring a successful conference, which is first of its kind in Kano.
According to Prof. Pate the conference which is expected to host over 400 professional broadcasters and inductees from within and outside Kano state for, the committee should come up with feasible blueprint that will make the event a memorable one.
He thank Kano state Government for expressing their desire to host this important conference of professional broadcasters, which will surely go a long way in putting the name of the state in anal of history as true defenders of ethical broadcasting in the country.
The committee consist of professional broadcasters, experts in public Relations and Academia, with Vice President of Society of Nigerian Broadcastets North-West zone , Alh. Ado Saidu Warawa as Chairman while General Manager of Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM Kano Dr. Garba Ubale Danbatta as Secretary, while Prof. Sulaiman Yar Adua, Prof. Nura Ibrahim, Prof. Sule Y. Sule, Hajiya Sa a Ibrahim former BON Chairperson, Hajiya Wasila Ladan National Secretary NAWOJ, Alh. Sulaiman Dederi State NUJ Chairman, Alh. Sulaiman Dederi, Ibrahim Y. Dawakin Tofa, Hajiya Aishtu Sule, General Manager MUHASA Radio/TV Kano as members of the committee, others are Muhammad Sunusi Jibrin, General Manager AMASCO Radio and Hajiya Aishatu Bello Mahmud of Freedom Radio Kano.
Speaking after the inauguration the Chairman of the Committee Alh. Ado Saidu Warawa thanked the National Executive for finding the members of the committee worthy enough to handle this national assignment and assured that considering the pedigree of the members of his committee we will do everything possible to achieve success ( by the grace of God).
