The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has said it will not allow its territory, airspace, or military bases to be used for any attack on Iran, amid rising regional tensions involving the United States and Tehran.

UAE officials have made clear that Emirati land, waters, and airspace will not be made available for hostile military operations against Iran, nor will the country provide logistical support for such actions.

The stance underscores Abu Dhabi’s emphasis on de-escalation and regional stability at a time of heightened rhetoric and diplomatic strain.

The clarification comes as tensions have intensified following U.S. President Donald Trump’s warnings over Iran’s handling of protests and Tehran’s threats to retaliate against U.S. military bases in the region if attacked.

The UAE, which hosts U.S. forces as part of broader security arrangements, has in recent years sought to balance its strategic partnerships with a policy of reducing confrontation and encouraging dialogue with Iran.

Regional observers say the UAE’s position highlights concerns among Gulf states about being drawn into a wider conflict as the standoff between Washington and Tehran deepens.
