The Kano state government has approved Friday 7th April, 2023 as the date for the commencement of 2nd term/ Ramadan Vacation to all Day and Boarding Public/Private Primary and Post Primary Schools in the state.
This was contained in a statement released and signed by Director public Enlightenment, Kano state ministry of Education Aliyu Yusuf which was made available to journalists in Kano.
According to the statement Parents/ Guardians of Pupils and Students in the Boarding schools are to convey their wards home by the early hours of Tomorrow Friday.
Similarly all the Boarding schools pupils and students are to resume back to their respective schools on Sunday 30th April 2023 while the Day Students are to resume on Tuesday 2nd May 2023.

The statement added that while expressing appreciation for the cooperation and support been accorded to the ministry, the state Commissioner of Education Rt. Hon. Ya’u Abdullahi Yan-shana urged Parents /Guardians of Pupils and Students of the schools to ensure compliance with the approved resumption dates.
The Commissioner who also wished the students and pupils successful and hitch free vacation, he wishes them Ramadan Kareem .
He however, warned that appropriate Disciplinary Action would be taken against defaulting students.
