Zulum Lays Foundation for Second Flyover, Housing Units in Borno.

Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum has performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of second flyover bridge at Borno express terminal at the cost of 5.8 billion naira in Maiduguri. 

Governor Zulum also laid the foundation for the construction of seventy two housing units for federal civil servants in the state.

At a ceremony in Maiduguri, the Governor said the bridge will ease traffic congestion along Maiduguri-Damaturu highway which is the major entrance to the city.

He assured of prompt release of fund to enable the contractor complete the project within the stipulated period of six months.

On the housing estate, Governor Babagana Zulum said construction of the houses is part of urban renewal project embarked by his administration.

He explained that aside from the housing units, the project will also comprised of state-of-the-art conference hall and sport complex.

“The Metro City Estate will be allocated to Federal establishment in the state to ease accommodation challenges” Zulum said.

In their separate remarks, Commissioners for Housing and Energy Yuguda Vungas and that of Works Isa Haladu said the housing comprised of fourteen blocks two-story building of three bedroom each while the six hundred meters flyover bridge will be completed in six months.
