Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the Constituting of Governing Councils and appointment of External Members for the Five (5) State owned Tertiary Institutions.
This was contained in a statement signed by Chief Information Officer Sunusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa which was sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano.
The statement said, speaking while inauguration the Councils and presenting the appointment letters, the Honarable Commissioner ministry for Higher Education, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure said the appointment of these exalted positions to the members is based of the utmost public trust on the recognitions of their competence, proven integrity, and worthy of experience.

The composition of the Councils members is Professor Abdu Salihi who would serve as Chairman of Kano State Polytechnic with the following members Professor Muhammad Aminu Gwarzo and Dr. Mulikat Dodo.
Audu Bako College of Agriculture Dambatta have Professor Abdu Yahaya Bichi as Chairman, Professor Aisha Garba Habib, and Dr. Sadiya Muazu Sani would also serve as Members.
The Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies have Barrister Sunusi Musa SAN as Chairman and Dr. Ibrahim Usman Kutama as well as Dr. Zainab Sani Kofar Mata save as Members.

Similarly, Professor Abdurrashid Garba was appointed as Chairman of Governing Council of Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies while Dr. Jummai Ali Kazaure and Sagir Sadisu Buhari will equally serve as members.
Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso (RMK) College of Advanced and Remedial Studies, Tudun-wada have Professor Bello A. Bello- Chairman, Dr. Usman Yunusa and Dr. Daiyabu Ibrahim as Members
Other members of the councils are as stipulated by the laws that established each institutions.
It said all the appointments are with immediate effect.
