Kwara NAPTIP Harps On Dangers Of Human Trafficking

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons(NAPTIP) Kwara State command has commenced sensitization to educate members of the public on the dangers of human trafficking.

Speaking during a quarterly meeting of the state Task Force in Ilorin, the state Coordinator of NAPTIP, Mr Ajala Mustapha called for more effort to nip the problem in the bud.

According to him, parents needs to be enlightened on the importance of protecting the future of their children in order not to fall victim.

Mr Mustapha urged the task force to widen it’s scope of activities to cover areas of human trafficking that are springing up newly.

He called for collaboration of all stakeholders to reduce human trafficking to the minimum.

In his remark ,Kwara State Coordinator of the Network Against Child Trafficking ,Abuse and Labour (NACTAL),Mr Femi Oyedeji Commended the agency for taking the fight against human trafficking to the nook and cranny of the state.

He urged faith based organisations, traditional institutions and other stakeholders to support the agency to enable it succeed.
