Buhari Commissions Multi Billion Naira Federal Secretariat Complex in Gusau

President Muhammadu Buhari has today formally commissioned and handover the newly federal government Secretariat complex in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.

President Buhari was represented at the commissioning ceremony by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Saadiya Umar Faruk.

President Buhari said, the project was awarded on December,2011 at an original contract sum of N 2,528,102.10 revised to N 3,440,557,244.05 in August,2020.

The Project was practically completed and take over by the federal government in December, 2022 and has 498 offices, 129 parking spaces, 4 committee rooms, post office Bank, solar powered lights among others.

Earlier, the Zamfara State governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle, represented by state assembly speaker,Nasiru Maazu Magarya, commended the effort of the federal government for making the Secretariat complex a reality.

He urged those going to use it to ensure that, they use the edifices judiciously and have in mind the maintenance culture.

Top government officials, paramount traditional rulers are in attendance, amidst of heavy security personnel, later the Secretariat was named as Malam Yahaya Abdulkarim Secretariat.
