Environment, Education, Higher Education Commissioner, Others Assumed Office, Urges Hardwork, Trust

The Staff of Kano State ministry of Environment have been urged to exhibit the spirit of commitment, dedication and tolerance for accelerated development of environmental sector in the state and beyond.

The newly sworn – in Commissioner of environment Honarable Nasiru Sule Garo made the assertion shortly after he resume duty yesterday amidst thousand of supporter who accompanied him to his new office.

Garo who expressed delight for the warm reception accorded to him, pledged to leave no stone unturned towards moving the state forward in the area of environmental sanitation and cleanness of Kano metropolis.

He therefore, solicited the support of all and sundry especially the stakeholders, permanent Secretary and Directors who are the brain behind any success asked them to join hands together for speedy development he stressed.

In a statement signed by director public relations and Enlightenment of the ministry Ismail Garba Gwammaja said responding, the permanent Secretary of the ministry Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Garo describe the commissioner as trustworthy, hardworking and transparent, he restated staff readiness and cooperation for the new administration to succeed.

 

New Kano Education Commissioner Charges Corporate Organizations on CSR

Education Commissioner Honarable Umar Haruna Doguwa

The newly appointed Commissioner of Education, Honarable Umar Haruna Doguwa has expressed the need for Corporate Organizations operating in Kano state wake up and embrace the habit of excercizing Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) especially in the education sector.

Doguwa stated this while speaking during his formal assumption to officer as a commissioner of education at Gidan Murtala.

He noted that the involvement of such corporate bodies through the discharge of CSR will go along way in assisting the development of educational sector in the state.

He also observed that the way and manner Private Schools are operating in Kano need to be giving a second thought with a view to correcting abnomalies inherent in the system.

The Commissioner who was given a befitting reception at the ministry, appealed to the staff to be more committeed and hardworking as he has good intention of promoting the education sector to a greater heights within the time of his stewardship.

He explained that the present administration of the state has the determination of doing all what it takes in prioritizing education, which is the bed rock of societal development.

In a statement signed by director public relations and Enlightenment Aliyu Yusuf quoted the commissioner while assuring the staff of the ministry of his readiness to carry all along, he further urged them to work as a family so that the desired objective of the present administration on Education would be achieved.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Malam Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi gave the assurance that both the management and other staff of the ministry will support and corporate with the new leadership.

Higher Education Commissioner Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata

The newly-appointed Kano State Commissioner Ministry for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata, identified indolence, mistrust and insincerity as the major factors that hinder the development of any society.

Dr. Kofar Mata stated this when he assumed duty, on Monday, immediately after the swearing-in by executive governor of Kano State Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf at Government House.

The Commissioner urged the entire staff to adhere with the above-mentioned qualities with a view to take the state to greater heights, particularly the education sector.

“You can take me as a clear example, that with commitment and struggle and encouragement we acquired from former State Governor Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso we are now what we are,” he explained.

Dr. Kofar-Mata, who is one of the beneficiaries of foreign scholarship sponsored by the state government during Kwankwaso’s administration, promised to comes up with new policies and programmes that would enhance the education sector in the state.

In a statement signed by public relations officer of the ministry Sanusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa quoted the the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dahiru Adda’u as congratulated the new Commissioner for the appointment which he described as well-deserved, being Dr. Kofar-Mata is academician in one of the stated-own universities.

 

Dantiye Assures Media Friendly Government as he assumes Office as Information Commissioner.

Baba Halilu Dantiye, New Commissioner Ministry of information

The newly appointed Commissioner of information, Alhaji Baba Halilu Dantiye has formally assumed duty today.

Halilu Dantiye was sworn today by Governor Abba Kabir Yusif at Government House.

Addressing the staff of the Ministry, the new Commissioner assured them of his commitment to publicize the policies and programmes of the state government, which is one of the vital role of his Ministry.

Dantiye who solicited the support and cooperation of the staff of the Ministry and charged them to be more committed in discharging their duties.

He also pledged to work with working journalists by providing an enabling environment for the profession to flourish and urged them to embrace the noble ethics of the profession.

In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Sani Bashir Yola congratulated the new Commissioner on his appointment and pledged his support and that of entire staff of the Ministry to him.

In a statement signed by director special duties Sani Abba Yola as describing the appointment of Dantiye as well deserved considering his vast experience in journalism.
