Kano Govt. Setup 10-men Committee on Resuscitation of Skills Acquisition Institutes

The Kano State Government has inaugurated ten (10) men Committee on resuscitation Kano state skills acquisition training institutes in the state.

Inaugurating the committee, the Commissioner, Kano state Ministry for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata, said revitalizing of the training centers become imperative in view of their important to social, economic and security to the society and state in general.

In a statement, signed by chief information officer of the ministry Sanusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa quoted the commissioner as reaffirming the present administration commitmentnt to fulfilled all the pledges made during election campaign to the good people of the state, urging all and sundry to rally round the government in order to achieve uptimum results.

He then tasked the committee to justify the confidence reposed on them.

The committee have the terms of reference to includes;

✔️ To identify the number and locations of the Institutes.

✔️ To appraise the positions of the centers and provide viable recommendations as well as recommend areas requiring rehabilitation.

✔️ The manpower and management structure to run the Institutes seemlessly.

✔️ To determine cost implications,

✔️ To recommend any other issue incidental to the terms of reference for the smooth resuscitation and operations of the Institutes.

The Commissioner further said the committee are expected to submit it’s report to the ministry within two weeks from the date of inauguration.

The composition of the committee members are Prof. Aminu Suleman from BUK as Chairman, Jazuli Muhammad Bichi, Kabiru Yusuf Beli, Dr. Salisu Ahmed Danbazau and Dr. Nasiru Ibrahim Dantiye as members.

Other members included Kabiru S. Labaran, Permanent Secretary of the ministry for Higher Education, Dahiru Ada’u, reprentative from SSG office, representative from Kano State Polytechnic and Director Admin and General Services of the ministry, Aminu Yusuf Kura would serve as Secretary of the committee.
