Salisu Kabuga Emerges V/Chairman, Abbas Yusha’u Secretary, Kano Online Journalists Association Replaces Vacuum

The Association of Kano Online Journalists (ASKOJ) has elected three officials to fill in available offices in it’s exco during a Congress meeting on Saturday.

Those elected are Salisu Kabuga as Vice Chairman, Abdulbaki Ali Ahmad as Financial Secretary, Yusuf Muhammed as the Assistant Secretary while Abbas Yusha’u was confirmed substantive Secretary from Assistant Secretary of the Association.

Also, the Congress unanimously elected Aliyu Dangida Ex-Officio of the association.

While admonishing the new excos, the Chairman, Yakubu Salisu Charged them to live up to expectations in order to move the association to greater heights.

He said, their election into the various offices didn’t come to him as a surprise considering their records and commitment to the course of journalism.

Salisu charged them to work together as a force with one goal for greater achievements and not to betray tye confidence bestow on them by the Congress.

The Chairman further added that the Association will continue to ensure sanity in the field by adopting best and standard methods of practice.
