NYSC DG Cautions Corps Members on Security and Use of Social Media

Director General of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed, has cautioned Corp members on their security and safety as well as use of social media.

The DG spoke to the Corps members when he paid a visit to Gen. Yakubu Gowon NYSC orientation camp in Fanisau area of Dutse, Jigawa state capital on Monday to inspect the orientation camp.

Ahmed charged the Corp members to avoid unauthorised trips because they are vulnerable and it can be risky and pose danger to them.

The DG also, drew attention of the Corps Members on effective utilization of social media platforms for self and national development, for their own benefit.

He further, advised that the Corps members should participate actively during the in and post-camp NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development ( SAED ) trainings in their best interest.

The skills, he said, will promote self-reliance and wealth creation, as white collar jobs are no more eadily available in the country as it was in the past.” The DG said.

He further commended the Camp Management and the Corps Members, on the level of sanitation witnessed at the camp and described it as one of the best he has seen so far.

Earlier in her speech, the Jigawa State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Aishatu Adamu, commended the Corps Members for their unending discipline and participation on all camp activities.

She described the Batch ‘B’ Stream II orientation which began on Friday July 14 2023, as the best in recent times and equally expressed her appreciation to the Director General’s visit to the camp.

Brig. Gen. Ahmed finally inspected the camp facilities and presentated gifts to various  groups of Corps Members at the camp as a means of motivation and friendship.
