A total of 162 Kano state contingents has arrived Kaduna state safely today Saturday 12, August to attend the 2023 North west zonal elimination of National Youth Games (NYG).
Kano is to participate in six event that include, Rugby, Hockey, handball, Basketball, Volleyball, and Football respectively.
The participants from the seven States of the north West geopolitical zone that comprising Kano state, Katsina, Jigawa, Zamfara, Sokoto , kebbi and host Kaduna States will converge to slog it out for the available slots at the main games in Asaba, the capital city of Delta.

Slots will be competed for in the following sports both male and female in football, Hockey, handball, basketball, beach volleyball, cricket and rugby.
A states that emerge first and second in each of the games will automatically represent the north west zone at the main event in Delta, which will hold between 7th to 17 September 2023 in Asaba.
