The African Union (AU) has condemned the ministry Takeover in Gabon hours after the military announced in national TV that they have take over the affairs of the government.
Video shared on social media and televised in the national TV showed people taking to the streets in support of the coup.
A source closed to the AU said that the African regional block is concerned and taking measure to ensure that the development never escalate to other France-African colonies, watching Cameroon and Burundi closely.
So far, the president of the national court of Gabon and the Gabon president Ali Bango were arrested.

Meanwhile, while countries around the world have started reacting the development with France prime minister condemned the takeover, saying they are monitoring the situation closely.
Also, China have called for the safety of the the president and his family including those arrested during the coup.
