Kano Govt. Partners TIC for Youth Empowerment

The Kano State Government has indicated interest in partnering with the Technology Incubation Center (TIC) Kano office for the training of youths and women in various entrepreneurial skills for the overall development of the State.

This was contained in a statement signed by assistant chief information officer TIC Kano office which was sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano on Wednesday.

According to the statement the Special Adviser to Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Cooperatives and Investment, Jamilu Abbas disclosed this when he paid a familiarization/collaborative visit to the Center on Tuesday.

It said the special adviser who was accompanied by a high powered team from his office, expressed satisfaction with the level of development of the Center’s entrepreneurs and pledged to do everything possible to see that youths across the 44 Local Governments of the State are engaged in one skill or another, through the collaboration with the Center, in order to make them self reliant.

The team was earlier received by the Center Manager Malam Kabiru Umar in his office alongside his management staff.

He used the medium to brief the Kano government representative on the mandate and operations of the Center as well as the success stories so far recorded within the almost 3 decades of establishment.

Highlights of the event included facility tour of the entrepreneurs’ Incubation Units, where the SA and his team interacted with the entrepreneurs on their various activities, as well as group photographs.
