The Jigawa state police command said it has arrested three suspected armed robbers of Ringim and Nassarawa local government area of Jigawa and Kano state respectively.
The command in a statement signed by its public relations officer DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam said one Yakubu Adamu aged 30 years and Hamisu Adamu aged 34 years all of Narewa Village of Ringim local government area while Abubakar Sani aged 28 years of Yankaba quarters in Nassarawa local government area of Kano state were arrested and recovered Beretta pistol with four Ammunition in their possession.
According to Shiisu “on 28/09/2023 at about 0930hrs, one Sagiru Musa ‘m’ age 30yrs of Kakikankare village in Ringim LGA of Jigawa State, reported at the Ringim Police Station that on the same date at about 0030hrs, unknown armed men numbering about four, criminally trespassed into his house and went to away with his motor vehicle golf 3 wagon green in color with registration number RNG 691 AA Jigawa State, valued at one million eight hundred naira only (#1, 800, 000.00k), two (2) tecno phone keypad. He further stated that his ATM card, Voter card, National I.D card, Custom duty, Vigilante I.D. card, and vehicle particulars are also kept in the said stolen vehicle.”

He said on receipt of the report, the detective from Ringim Division swiftly swung into action and arrested the said suspect.
On interrogation, both Yakubu and Abubakar confessed to having participated in the offence allegedly against them. They further revealed that the vehicle already has been sold at Maradi city in Niger Republic.

DSP Shiisu added that efforts have already been made to arrest the remaining suspects and recover the stolen vehicle.
