DOGA Class of 78 Holds 45th Year Graduation Anniversary

The Government Girls Secondary School Dala Old Students Association DOGA class of 1978 has Hold it’s 45 Graduation Anniversary and awards two prominent teachers who have positively impact on the morale of their students about five decades ago.

In an interview with journalists, the chairperson of DOGA Hajiya Halima Jamil formerly Laraba Abdu described the re-union as timely considering the age of the ex-students and lost of some members who have died recently or long ago.

Mrs. Abdu said the union has undertaken a number of projects with a view to support teaching and learning in their Alma-mata assuring that the association will continue to do what it takes in smooth operation of the school.

Her words “My Esteemed members of DOGA it fills me with one pleasure and joy as I address you for the first time as the presidem of DOGA TS class chapter, Today is a special day because coincidently, we are culebrating our 45th anniversary I want to exterid my deepest appreciation to our parent whis suppointed us and made every sacrifice to give us the best May Allah reward their effort.”

“We are also indeed to our Teachers, who were instrumental to our success story, may Allah bestow His favours upon them. On this note I’m happy to inform this athering that we are blessed to have 2 of those selfless elders in our midst today. Therefore, it brings the great joy to introduce Mrs. Talani Bashir, whose commitment and contribution is unquantifiable, and Mat Sam Kassim Darmi, whose kindness and fatherly support we will forever cherished. We are deeply grateful to you and all our teachers, for you have made indelible mark in our lives. Thank you for being there for us when we needed you most.”

“I’m using this occasion to high light few contributions of DOGA 78 to its ALMAMATA, which includes:

1. Sealing the hospital bills of a student who suffered multiple fractures during a fire outbreak.

2. Successful evacuation of Akintola and Babban Daki toilet chambers.

3. Painting two classroom blocks renovated by FCMB,

4. Supplied 500 English and 500 Mathematics textbooks to our SSII students.

5. Engaged and paid 2 highly experienced English and 2 Mathematics teachers for six months to prepare the then SSII students for their final exams.

6. Provided 1.000 sanitary pads and 1,000 hijabs to Dale Girls All these achievement were possible due to the understanding, unering efforts, dedication and hard work of our members.

“On a similar note, I will also like to express my special gratitude to our members who are living outside Kane, we always count on your support and high level of commitment to the wellbeing of this chapter Many things wouldn’t have been achieved without your contribution.”

“Sadly, I cannot conclude my speech, without acknowledging the loss of some of our members and our loves ones. The most recent was Aishatu Ado, last year by this time she was with us, not knowing that will be the last she was to attend Similarly, many of our members lost their loved ones May Allah forgive their short comings and give their families and love ones the fortitude to bear the loss.”

“Finally I will like to emphasize that Unity is strength. In optimistic with cooperation, tolerance sacrifice and Allah’s guidance, there’s no hurdle we cannot overcome, and no milestone we cannot achieve May nur bond remain robust, our efforts fruitful, and our spirits high May Allah make it cry for us.”

Meanwhile, one of the Honoured teacher during the event, former Permanent Secretary of the Jigawa state ministry of information Hajiya Talatu Salamatu Bashir appreciate her students for finding her worthy, advising members of DOGA to re dedicate themselves in supporting each other.

The former permanent Secretary then advised governments at all levels to ensure the provisions of teaching and learning materials to various schools and proper monitoring for better education to all.
