NUJ Commends Gov. Namadi for Appointing Veteran Journalist as Media Assistant

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Jigawa State Council, has commended the appointment of  Mrs Zainab Shu’aibu Rabo, as Senior Special Assistant on Media Affairs to Governor Umar Namadi.

Thi was contained in a statement signed by Comr. Larai Musa, Secretary of the state Council and made the commendation on Tuesday.

The statement disclosed that the appointment of veteran Journalist Mrs Rabo is well-deserved and a welcome development.

“Your pedigree as former Zonal Vice President Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) speak volume on your competence to occupy the office.” Musa said.

According to the statement, Mrs Zainab’s commitment, diligence, and exemplary leadership had left an indelible mark in NAWOJ leadership in Northern Nigeria, where she was National Vice President for two terms.

It also revealed that Rabo had served in Jigawa State as Chairperson of NAWOJ, Jigawa State Chapter  for another two consecutive terms.

Before her appointment,  Hajiya Zainab Shu’aib Rabo worked with Jigawa state Radio Corporation and Radio Deutchewelle as Correspondent and also served as Senior Special Adviser on monitoring and evaluation during Governor Abubakar Badaru’s administration respectively.
