Nigeria, the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) and Arab Countries association (best known as Arab League) have chosen Nigeria as one of the countries responsible for mediating between Israel and Hamas.
The development made Nigeria the black country from sub-Saharan Africa that was chosen for this settlement.
Other countries that have been chosen to intervene in the Israeli-Hamas conflict include Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and Indonesia.
The Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, who confirmed the development to journalist said that this has increased the honor of Nigeria in global affairs.
He also said that the move will help put pressure on both sides to bring lasting peace between Israel and Hamas.
