The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has Condemned in totality the act of some Personnel believe to be military trying to takeover in the government of the republic of Sierra Leone.
In a statement posted on its verified social handle X formerly Twitter it said “ECOWAS reiterates its zero-tolerance for unconstitutional change of Government.”
Reports earlier this morning said their was an arm group who set-free some highly dangerous criminal from prisons with the aim of cousing political tension in Sierra Leone.

The statement said “we have learnt with utter disgust a plot by certain individuals to acquire arms and disturb the peace and constitutional order in Sierra Leone.”
It also said “we condemns this act and calls for the arrest and prosecution of all participants in this illegal act.”
ECOWAS further underscores its commitment to supporting the government and people of
Sierra Leone to deepen democracy and good governance, consolidate peace and security as well as foster socio-economic development.
