First Lady to Assists NAPTIP in Fighting Human Trafficking in Zamfara

Zamfara State First Lady, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal has pledged to provide all the necessary support and resources to National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, (NAPTIP) in its quest to address haman trafficking and other humanitarian crisis in the State.

Hajiya Huriya made the pledge when she received the Zamfara State Commander of NAPTIP, Aliyu Abubakar Mai Sudan who paid her a courtesy visit at Government House Gusau, the state capital.

She maintain that, her office will continue to collaborate with relevant agencies especially when it involves issues associated with women.

Hajiya Huriya further assured that, she will leave her office’s doors open and to collaborate with relevant agencies for the development of women in the state and the country at large.

Earlier the NAPTIP Commander, Aliyu Abubakar Mai Sudan briefed the first lady on the primary responsibilities of the Agency in the State ranging from sensitization to arrests and rescue of victims of this heinous crime in the and why the government should support them as Agency.

Mai Sudan further explain that, the aimed of the visit was to solicit the first lady’s support and assistance in the fight against Human Trafficking and other related offences.
