Police Arrest 3 Suspected Kidnappers, 51 Others in 30 Days in Jigawa

The Jigawa state police command said it has arrested three (3) Suspected Kidnappers, one Arms Manufacturer and fifty (50) others in one month in the state.

The state Commissioner of police A.T Abdullahi disclosed this in his miden press conference held in Dutse, the command headquarters.

According to him, “we have arrested three (3) suspected kidnappers that have link with the kidnapping of a businessman in kwaimawa village, Dutse, LGA, Ten (10) suspected Armed Robbers, one suspected arms manufacturer in DutsenKwari Village, Ringim LGA, Twenty five (25) suspected thieves/vandals, Two (2) suspected Human Traffickers in Babura LGA, three (3) suspected motor vehicle thieves, seven (7) motorcycle thieves at Dutse, Maigatari and Kazaure LGAs respectively and arrest of three (3) suspected mobile Phones thieves.”

“We have also recovered Three (3) locally fabricated firearms, Four (4) motor vehicles, Six (6) motorcycles, Three million six hundred and fifty thousand Naira (₦3,650,000.00k), Nine (9) android handsets, Vandalized Armored Cable wires, Thirty two (32) cows, Five (5) sheep, Two hundred and sixty one (261) wraps of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, One hundred and seventy six (176) Tablets of Exol, Eight (8) Tablets of Tramadol, Twenty eight (28) Tablets of Diazepam, Eight (8) Robber Solution, Twenty one (21) Pieces of Vaga Dry Gin and Sesame/Millet/Groundnut valued At Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (₦450,000.00k).

According to Abdullahi, the command focused on effective crime control, civil disorder control and reduction in fear of crime.

“In the pursuit of the above policing objectives, the command will be guided by Intelligence led policing, community policing, knowledge and collaboration with the sister security agencies to achieve a common goal.

Abdullah then commended inspector-General of Police IGP. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun NPM, PhD, for finding me worthy and deploy him to serve as a Jigawa state Commissioner of Police.

He also, appriciated the Jigawa State Government led Malam Umar A Namadi for wonderful and immensely assisting the Police Command.

The commissioner assured journalist of cordial relationship and would work closely with them to ensure maximum security of live and properties of general populace.

“My predecessor had briefed me on the tremendous contribution/cooperation of the press to the command which had gone along way in achieving many successes during his tenure as a Commissioner of Police, I therefore, want to reassure you that the already established synergy and cooperation will be sustained and improved, I also wish to assure journalist and the entire people of Jigawa state that through hard work, professionalism and partnership, crime and criminality will be reduced to the barest minimum.” He added.
