Fulani Groups, NCM Alleged Unlawful Killings of Members By Security Agencies

Fulani groups and the Northern Consensus Movement have alleged Security agencies for killing and harassment of Fulani Community in Ladduga grazing Reserve in Kachia local government area of Kaduna state and some part of Northern states.

Addressing a Press conference in Kaduna the, President of the Movement Dr. Awwal Abdullahi Aliyu said you may wish to recall that some days back some Fulani Youths were attacked and killed in Tilde Fulbe by those suspected to be security agent according to the information received from our members.

“As law abiding and bonafide citizens of Nigeria whose innocent brothers and Sisters are killed on daily basis, there is need to come together and express our displeasure, disappointment and also address the lingering issues towards finding a lasting solution.

Dr. Awwal further explained that “also of note is the recent incident in Bokkos local government area of Plateau state, where lives and property were lost.This action is tantamount that can be hazardous to peace and peaceful coexistence.

“We call on the youths not to take the law into their hands, as it may lead to breakdown of law and order and escalate crisis.

He therefore call on Chief of Defense Staff to General Gwabin Musa to set a Committee that will investigate the situation, in order to bring an end to the alleged unlawful Harassment and killings of Fulani Youths in the country.

“We are therefore calling on relevant security agencies to trade with caution and professionally on all operational engagements and allow the Courts to perform their constitutional responsibilities of prosecuting offenders in accordance with the Laws.

While we express our loyalty and total support to our Security agencies as they are superintending in fight criminalities and crimes in our society, we urge them to maintain neutrality.

“We are calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to look into the matter and find a lasting solution to the lingering crisis in Plateau and the country at large.
