We’ll No Longer Spare Any Erring Staff, Kano Hospital Board Tells Personnel

The Executive Secretary, Kano State Hospitals Management Board Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda has called on all medical personnels working in all state government facilities under the care of the board that as a matter of urgency should buckel up and get back to reviving the health system in order to compliment the state government’s effort in boosting the health care system in the state.

The board’s public relations officer Samira Suleiman disclosed this in a statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano on Thursday night.

According to Dr Nagoda, the management will be embarking on an executive supervision round in the evenings and nights with the intent of rectifying all abnomalities and wrong happenings in all the facilities.

He further said that, the state Commissioner of Health Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf and all agencies Executives and directors from the board will be involved in the supervision with immediate effect.

“We are embarking on daily inspection. We would be checking the cleanliness of the facility, all personal on duty must be present, duty roaster, call duty and shifts, as well as services rendered to patients. Any one found wanting will not be spared this time around. We would strictly adhere to civil service rules in applying administrative procedures, sanctions, suspension and stoppage of salaries where necessary Truancy will not be tolerated”.

Dr Nagoda added that those that are not ready to serve the system diligently should pave way for others willing to engage and discharge their duties accordingly. Staff audit has since commenced and he expects that by now all have reported to their various destinations where they have been posted to.

The Executive Secretary, also called on well to do individuals, government officials to desist from interfering in issues related to staff misconduct.

He then reiterated the governments commitment towards ensuring a total reform of the health system in the state in terms of infrastructures, Modern equipments, excellent service delivery and adequate man-power.

Dr. Nagoda then used this medium to once again congratulate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf and the good people of Kano state on the success recorded in the just concluded court case and retrieving the mandate of people’s choice.
